Abstract
This paper demonstrates prototypes of superconducting diodes operational at zero magnetic field. These diodes are based on niobium planar Josephson junctions where space-time symmetry is broken by combining the self-field effect from nonuniform bias and stray fields from a trapped Abrikosov vortex. The nonreciprocity of critical current can reach an order of magnitude, with rectification efficiency exceeding 70%. Diode polarity and nonreciprocity can be switched on/off by altering bias configuration and trapping/removing a vortex, enabling memory functionality. The potential use of these diodes in future in-memory superconducting computers is discussed.
