This study explores complementary peptides (CPEPs) as a safe alternative to agrochemicals. CPEPs, designed from any gene, specifically target plant coding genes and increase the abundance of the targeted protein, resulting in altered phenotypes. The research demonstrates that CPEPs can improve plant traits like growth, pathogen resistance, and heat stress tolerance without genetic modification and can also reduce weed growth.
