Abstract
This study compared physical activity levels and obesity between US immigrants and native-born adults using data from the Health Information National Trends Survey. Immigrants were less likely to spend excessive time on sedentary leisure activities and more likely to engage in moderate-intensity physical activity compared to native-born adults. The study suggests that US immigrants exhibit healthier lifestyles regarding physical activity, highlighting the need for strategies to maintain these behaviors and encourage increased physical activity among native-born adults.
