This article addresses the critique of corpus-based studies as decontextualized by demonstrating how internet-based data, specifically from ROAR Magazine, reveals cultural aspects. Analyzing 100 ROAR articles, the study explores textual patterns like keyword collocation (*democracy*) and quotation practices to show the construction of a virtual community. This identity formation impacts the narrative of events covered, highlighting how the internet's fragmented nature both aids and hinders community building.
