Abstract

Malaria epidemics are influenced by temperature and precipitation fluctuations. Satellite Earth observations offer valuable data, but accessing them requires expertise and resources. The study developed REACH, a cloud-based application using Google Earth Engine (GEE) to access land surface temperature, spectral indices, and precipitation data. REACH offers three implementations: GEE code editor, standalone web app, and Python package. It successfully supported a malaria early warning project in Ethiopia and can be extended to other locations and datasets.
