Abstract

This study investigates global awareness and national program implementation regarding childhood obesity. It found that most countries have data and programs addressing childhood obesity, but support levels from governments, schools, and private organizations, as well as awareness of WHO and UNICEF guidance, vary considerably. Progress and implementation are hindered in many countries.
