Abstract
This study investigated the relationship between the adiponectin:leptin (AL) ratio and cardiometabolic health among older adults with obesity and the effects of a 12-month exercise and diet intervention on changes in the AL ratio. Results showed a significant inverse correlation between the AL ratio and measures of adiposity and insulin at baseline. A 12-month exercise and diet intervention, particularly with intentional weight loss, significantly increased the AL ratio.
