Abstract
This paper introduces a biodegradable, flexible silicon-based electronic system for detecting NO species. The system boasts record-high sensitivity (136 Rs for 5 ppm NO2), 100-fold selectivity over other substances, and fast response/recovery times (~30s/~60s). Its performance is attributed to material selection, dimensions, design, temperature, and electrical operation. Large-scale sensor arrays maintain performance under various loads, and in vitro tests demonstrate stability in wet environments, suitable for biomedical applications.
