Transparent ultrasound transducers (TUTs) offer seamless integration of optical and ultrasound components, but acoustic impedance mismatch limits their performance. This study presents a novel transparent adhesive based on a silicon dioxide-epoxy composite for matching and backing layers, enabling the creation of an ultrasensitive, broadband TUT with high optical transparency. This TUT achieves high-contrast and high-definition dual-modal ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging in live animals and humans, reaching depths exceeding 15 mm with exceptional depth-to-resolution ratios.
