This study investigates the relationship between relational wellbeing and individual resilience, mediated by family and community protective factors, among Indonesian slum dwellers. Using a random sample across three Indonesian cities (Bima, Manado, and Pontianak), the study employed White's conceptualization of relational wellbeing and Benard's perspective on individual resilience. Confirmatory factor analysis established the validity and reliability of measures. Mediated-path analysis revealed that family protective factors positively mediated the relationship between most dimensions of relational wellbeing and individual resilience, while community protective factors showed an inverted mediation effect. The findings enhance understanding of the interplay between wellbeing and resilience, highlighting the impact of familial and community support.
