This study investigates the impact of a brief tablet-based intervention on the linguistic and communicative abilities of toddlers and preschoolers. Two experiments, one with toddlers (n=101) and one with preschoolers (n=152), used a pre-post equivalent group design. Results showed that the intervention improved toddlers' verbal communication and preschoolers' speech comprehension, enhanced vocalizations in preschoolers, and improved long-term memory for associations. The study concludes that ludic tablet-based interventions can enhance linguistic and communicative abilities in young children.
