Abstract
This paper introduces GRX-810, a new oxide-dispersion-strengthened NiCoCr-based alloy designed for extreme environments. Using a model-driven approach and laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF), nanoscale Y₂O₃ particles are dispersed throughout the microstructure. GRX-810 exhibits twofold improvement in strength, over 1,000-fold better creep performance, and twofold improvement in oxidation resistance compared to traditional Ni-based alloys at 1,093 °C. This success highlights the potential of model-driven alloy design and additive manufacturing in accelerating the discovery of revolutionary materials.
