Women in Ag Award

The Women in Ag Award celebrates the contributions of women in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural sciences, and related fields. This prestigious award, organized by DLG (German Agricultural Society) and the Women in Ag magazine, highlights the inspiring stories and achievements of women worldwide.

🌟 About the Award

The Women in Ag Award aims to foster the role of women in the agricultural sector by recognizing their efforts and providing a platform to share their stories. Since its inception, women from over 40 nations have participated, building a strong, supportive network.

The award is presented in four categories, with the top three winners in each category being honored.

Award Categories

1. Farming
   Recognizes women who shape agriculture with sustainable farming methods, modern farm management, or innovative concepts.

2. Agribusiness
   Honors women who modernize agriculture and improve value chains through entrepreneurial spirit, digital solutions, or new business models.

3. Education
   Celebrates women who impart knowledge as teachers, consultants, or communicators, inspiring the next generation and making agriculture more understandable.

4. Technology and Research
   Acknowledges women who develop innovative solutions through research and technology, driving sustainable change in agriculture.

• The eight best short video portraits in each category will be nominated.
• Nominees will be featured in DLG and AGRITECHNICA printed and online media, press releases, and the Women in Ag magazine website.
• Winners will gain a platform to showcase their success and network globally with experts.
• The top three winners in each category will receive the international prize.
• Winners will be announced at the official award ceremony on 12 November 2025 during AGRITECHNICA in Hanover.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

The award is open to women from all over the world who work in the following fields:

• Agriculture
• Agribusiness
• Animal farming
• Research and development
• Teaching
• Journalism
• Blogging or influencing

📅 Application Date and Process

• Application Deadline: 31 July 2025
• Each candidate may apply for only one category. Multiple submissions are not allowed.
• Applications must be submitted by the candidate herself.

Required Application Materials

• Completed online form
• A portrait photo
• At least two high-resolution photos of agricultural activities
• A video (max. 2 minutes) about the candidate and her contribution to the agricultural sector

Note: The application and video must be in English. Videos recorded in a native language should include English subtitles.

Additional Information

• Participants consent to the use of their submitted profile texts, images, and videos for promotional purposes.
• Incomplete applications will be excluded.
• All participants will receive an email confirming the receipt of their registration.
• The jury reserves the right to revoke awards if irregularities are discovered.
