🎁 Benefits of Wipro Education Fellowship

  • Number of Fellowships per Organization:
    Up to three (3) founding members per organization will be supported at a time.

  • Financial Support:

    • Duration: Up to three (3) years from the date of signing the MoU.
    • Amount: Approximately β‚Ή4.8 lakhs per year, paid in quarterly stipends.
  • Conditions for Continued Support:

    • Adherence to the clauses of the agreement signed between the Fellow and Wipro.
    • Satisfactory progress on plans submitted during the selection stage, including an organizational development plan.
    • Periodic reviews, discussions, and a detailed annual review will determine continued support.
    • Post three years, further support may be extended on a case-by-case basis.

βœ… Eligibility Criteria

Organizations and individuals applying for the fellowship must meet the following requirements:

  • The organization should be in its early stages (6 months to 3 years, preferably) and working to strengthen the public education system or have concrete plans to engage with it.
  • Preferably working in the domains of:
    • Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)
    • Education for Children with Disabilities
    • Inclusive Education
    • Nature/Sustainability Education
    • Computational Thinking/Computer Science Education
  • The organization should preferably operate in non-metro, rural geographies.
  • Fellowships are offered only to founding team members working full-time with the organization.
  • Fellows must demonstrate:
    • A long-term commitment to working in the specified domain and geography.
    • A willingness to engage in educational and organizational capacity building during the fellowship period.

  1. The interested organization submits an online application.
  2. Shortlisted organizations are contacted to provide a detailed proposal.
  3. A telephone interview is conducted to understand the applicant’s proposal in more detail.
  4. The decision on the grant is conveyed to the applicant via email.

Benefits
  • Number of Fellowships per organization: A maximum of three (3) founding members per organization will be supported through the Fellowship at a time.
  • Quantum, mode and duration of financial support: The financial support would be provided for up to three (3) years from the date of signing the MoU. It would amount to approximately Rs 4.8 lakhs per year. This will be paid in the form of quarterly stipends.
  • Conditions for continued support: Continued support with stipend would be subject to adherence to the clauses of the Agreement signed between the Fellow and Wipro. It is also conditional upon satisfactory progress on the plans submitted during the selection stage, including an organizational development plan. This will be determined by periodic reviews and discussions, and a detailed annual review. Depending on the outcome of these reviews, they may further extend the support to the organizations, after the three-year term is over, on a case-to-case basis.
