🎁 Benefits of Wellcome Early-Career Awards
A Wellcome Early-Career Award provides:
- Salary for the grantholder.
- Up to £400,000 for research expenses.
Additional Costs (not counted against the £400,000 limit):
- Overheads.
- Overseas allowances.
- Cost of macaques purchased from the Centre for Macaques.
- Adjustment support, including:
- Assistive technology (e.g., screen readers or mobility aids).
- Support staff.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
You can apply to this scheme if:
- You are an early-career researcher ready to design, plan, and deliver your own innovative research project.
Your project should aim to:
- Advance understanding in your field.
- Develop methodologies, conceptual frameworks, tools, or techniques that could benefit health-related research.
