The 2026 Verizon Public Policy Summer Internship is an exciting opportunity for students to work directly with Senior Policy Executives as part of Verizonโ€™s Public Policy Real Experience Program (VZ PREP). This 10-week internship offers hands-on experience, allowing interns to contribute to high-impact projects from day one.

Verizonโ€™s Public Policy, Law, and Security organization represents and protects the company's legal, security, and regulatory interests at federal, state, local, and international levels. Interns will gain exposure to areas such as:

โœ… Internship Requirements

To qualify for the internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Ability to participate in a hybrid 10-week internship from June 2026 to August 2026, working a full-time schedule.
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelorโ€™s degree, Masterโ€™s degree, or JD program in Public Policy, Business, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to work in Washington, DC.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Willing and able to relocate.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • An open mind to the full political spectrum.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills.
  • Leadership skills and team orientation.
