📖 About the Program

The Climate Prosperity Fellowship Program was launched by the V20 Finance Ministers on October 13, 2023, during the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund in Marrakech, Morocco. This fellowship is a partnership between:

  • Boston University Global Development Policy Center
  • Centre for Sustainable Finance at SOAS University of London

The program aims to advance cooperation and engagement of officials from V20 Member Countries to support development-positive climate action through Climate Prosperity Plans (CPPs) and address challenges posed by outdated global financial architecture.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizen of a V20 member country.
  • Mid to senior-level experience (5–10 years) in international affairs, public policy development, and climate/environmental/sustainable development.
  • Fundamental understanding of macroeconomic concepts.
  • Commitment to attend weekly virtual sessions and complete assignments.
  • Availability for international travel for in-person training sessions during the fellowship period.
  • Interest in intensive training in debt sustainability analyses.
  • Determination to work with their national government and stakeholders post-fellowship.
  • Enthusiasm for joining a growing network of fellows for mutual learning.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in English.
