Interns may be involved in the following activities:

  • Conducting and summarizing research.

๐ŸŽ Benefits of the Programme

  • Compensation: UNESCO does not provide financial or other compensation for internship assignments.
  • Leave: Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship.

โœ… Eligibility Criteria

Age

  • Applicants must be at least 20 years old.

Academic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate programme (Masterโ€™s degree, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Recently graduated (within 12 months) with a Masterโ€™s degree or PhD.
  • Applicants with only a completed Bachelorโ€™s degree are not eligible.
  • For secretarial/assistant or technical/professional assignments:
    • Must be enrolled in a secretarial school or specialized technical/professional institution.
    • Must be in the final year of studies or have graduated within the last 12 months.

Languages

  • Excellent command (written and spoken) of English or French.
  • A working knowledge of the other language is an asset and may be required for certain assignments.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in computer systems and office-related software.

Team Player

  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.

Communication Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • The UNESCO Internship Programme is open year-round.
