The Business & Human Rights Accelerator is a six-month programme designed to activate companies participating in the UN Global Compact across industries and regions. Its primary objective is to help businesses swiftly move from commitment to action on human rights and labour rights by establishing an ongoing human rights due diligence process.

An assessment of actual and potential adverse human rights impacts, enabling prioritization of actions.
Knowledge about steps to mitigate human rights impacts, including grievance mechanisms and remedies.
Effective ways to engage stakeholders on operational impacts on people.
An action plan to advance human rights within the company and beyond.
Access to a network of peers, UN partners, and experts to support their human rights journey and collectively tackle persistent barriers to human rights due diligence.
A certificate demonstrating completion of the programme.

✅ Programme Requirements

To participate in the Business & Human Rights Accelerator, companies must meet the following requirements:

Be participants of the UN Global Compact or willing to join.
Commit to completing the programme and embedding the learnings across company strategy and operations.
Be currently engaged with a Global Compact Country Network in their region or willing to join.
Be willing to identify human rights risks and impacts and scope a core area of their value chain for further focus.
Commit to developing an Action Plan to address identified human rights risks.
Appoint two working-level representatives to attend sessions and participate in Accelerator activities, along with an additional executive-level representative to follow programme developments, provide support, and participate in high-level events.
