For over 25 years, the Corporate Citizenship Awards ("Citizens Awards") have celebrated businesses as a force for good, recognizing their innovative and impactful initiatives that improve communities and drive societal progress. These awards honor companies leveraging their talent, resources, and expertise to create meaningful change.
Award Categories
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Best Civic Engagement Program: For businesses empowering employees and communities to actively participate in civic life.
- Best Community Improvement Program: Recognizing initiatives in housing, poverty, economic development, safety, arts, youth development, and more.
- Best Community Resilience and Disaster Response Program: Honoring efforts in disaster preparedness, response, and long-term recovery.
- Best Economic Opportunity and Empowerment Program: For initiatives in financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and diversity.
- Best Education and Workforce Program: Celebrating programs advancing education, upskilling, STEM, career guidance, and access to technology.
- Best Health and Wellness Program: For initiatives in workplace wellness, nutrition, disease prevention, and healthcare access.
- Best Sustainability Program: Recognizing environmental stewardship, climate solutions, sustainable supply chains, and circular economy efforts.
- Best Corporate Steward (Small/Mid-Market & Large Business): Honoring companies creating "shared value" for shareholders, employees, customers, communities, and the environment.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
The Citizens Awards are open to:
- Businesses of all sizes, chambers, and trade associations.
- Entities that nominate themselves or are nominated by a third party. Third-party nominators must ensure the nominee is aware of the application and prepared to participate in awards activities.
- Partnerships, provided there is a primary entity recognized as the finalist and single point of contact.
- Non-business partners, as long as the business is the primary entity recognized as the finalist.
- Entities submitting nominations for multiple categories, with a separate application required for each category. However, a nominee can only be a finalist in one category, determined by scoring.
- Past winners, who are eligible to apply for the same category two years after their win. For example, 2023 winners can reapply for the same category in 2026 but are welcome to submit nominations in new categories.
