📖 About the Program

The Amgen Scholars Program is an international initiative aimed at increasing research opportunities for students committed to pursuing careers in the sciences. At Tsinghua University, this program is an 8-week faculty-mentored residential summer research program. It provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to:

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be undergraduate students attending college/university, primarily from the Asia region.
2. Have completed at least the first year of their undergraduate degree by the start of the summer program.
3. Not graduate before the program begins and must resume their undergraduate degree for at least one semester or quarter after completing the program.
4. Have a strong academic record.
5. Be proficient in English. If English is not the first language, applicants must meet one of the following minimum scores:
   • TOEFL (iBT): 72
   • IELTS: 5.5
   • Cambridge English FCE
   • TOEIC: 1095
   • TOEIC S&W: 310
   • TOEIC L&R: 785
6. Be interested in pursuing a PhD.
7. Commit to attending the program for its full duration without taking any extra courses or jobs during the summer.
