✅ Eligibility Criteria
Open to Applicants From:
- East Asia: Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, Mongolia.
- Southeast Asia: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam.
- South Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
Team Composition
- Teams must be diverse and based in multiple target countries.
- Team members may include practitioners, researchers, creators, policymakers, journalists, and other media representatives with practical experience and knowledge of addressing issues in the target countries.
Project Requirements
Projects must:
- Identify issues and conduct a review by surveying and analyzing the situation in target countries.
- Carry out activities aimed at providing solutions to issues.
- Produce and disseminate tangible outputs.
📅 Application Date and Process
- Formal decisions on the awarding of grants will be made by the Toyota Foundation Board of Directors at a meeting to be held in late September 2026, based on deliberations by the Selection Committee consisting of external experts.
