Together Women Rise Grants 2026–2027

Applications are now open for the Together Women Rise Grants 2026–2027. This opportunity provides funding to organizations that empower and support women and girls in low-income and marginalized communities in the Global South.

🌍 About Together Women Rise Grants

Together Women Rise features a different organization or project each month, offering extensive learning materials on the project and the issue being addressed. They promote these projects through nationwide chapters, their website, newsletters, and social media. Grantees are assigned to be featured in a specific month based on the issue area and geography.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a Featured Grant, applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

• Be a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor that is a US 501(c)(3) corporation. Registration documents issued by other countries are not accepted.
• Have a minimum of $100,000 operating expenses annually for the most recent fiscal year.
• Demonstrate capacity and on-the-ground operations in low-income communities in the Global South for a minimum of three years.
• Provide data regarding the direct impact of the organization’s program(s) that the grant would support.
• Women must make up the majority of the leadership (board of directors and staff) at the time of application.
• Demonstrate fiscally responsible and sustainable practices within the organization.
• Have a website in English, unless using a fiscal sponsor.
• Submit all information requested on the grant application in English.
• Provide additional information as deemed necessary for Together Women Rise to make the grant decision.
• Must not have received a Together Women Rise grant within the past four years.
• If previously awarded a grant, must have satisfied ALL reporting requirements for that past grant.
• Adhere to Together Women Rise’s Religion Policy.
• Recognize that achieving gender equality requires equitable and consistent access to quality health care, including safe and full scope of sexual and reproductive health services and education.

📝 Application Process

Together Women Rise has streamlined the application process to make it more accessible to prospective grantees.

Step 1: Questionnaire to Determine Eligibility

• Complete a brief, online questionnaire to determine eligibility for a Rise Featured Grant.
• The questionnaire takes only a few minutes, and applicants receive immediate notification about eligibility.

Step 2: Organization Profile

• Eligible applicants will receive instructions to complete their organization’s profile via the online application site.
• Profiles are secure and confidential. Once completed, applicants will be invited to submit their application.

Step 3: Full Application

If invited to complete an application, applicants must:

• Provide a copy of the organization’s IRS 501(c)(3) Determination Letter or that of the fiscal sponsor.
• Submit a copy of the current fiscal year operating budget.
• Provide Form 990 or Form 990 EZ (or that of the fiscal sponsor) for the two most recent consecutive years.
  • Note: Form 990 Z submissions require a supplemental questionnaire. 990-Ns or 990-PFs are not accepted.
• If using a fiscal sponsor, provide a certification between the organization and the fiscal sponsor.

Note: Applicants may be required to participate in an online site visit with Rise staff and Grants and Partnership Committee members prior to final selection. However, an invitation to participate in an online site visit does not guarantee funding.
