  • University of Oxford course fees.
  • Annual stipend: ยฃ19,800 per annum (ยฃ1,650 per month) for living expenses, including accommodation. (Note: This does not cover partners or dependents.)
  • Additional Benefits:
    • Application fee for the University of Oxford.
    • Fees for a student visa and associated International Health Surcharge (IHS), enabling access to the UK's National Health Service.
    • Two economy-class flights to and from the UK at the start and end of studies.
    • A settling-in allowance upon arrival in Oxford.
    • Assistance with visa renewal and IHS fees for scholars transitioning to a second course of study.

Duration:

  • Up to three years of fees and stipend for scholars undertaking a DPhil (PhD) at Oxford. (Refer to the Conditions of Tenure document for details on degree combinations and coverage.)

โœ… Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Rhodes Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Academic Qualifications:

    • Must have completed, or will complete by July 2026, an undergraduate degree (normally a Bachelorโ€™s degree).
    • Must meet or exceed the specific entry requirements of their chosen full-time course at the University of Oxford.
    • Competitive academic benchmarks:
      • First Class Honours Degree or equivalent.
      • GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher (no rounding).
      • Equivalent international grades.
  2. Diversity and Inclusion:

    • The Rhodes Trust welcomes applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds.
    • Selection is made without regard to gender, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion, social background, caste, or disability.
  3. Dual Citizenship or Multiple Residencies:
