  • Up to €20,000 budget to cover:
    • Artist fees
    • Production costs
    • Travel and accommodation during the residency
    • Travel to the AI Boot Camp in November 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Guidance and support from Residency Host Institutions in Africa and their European counterparts.
  • Access to technology experts, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence, to support project development.
  • Membership in the S+T+ARTS network, which includes over 10,000 members worldwide.

āœ… Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an individual artist or an artist collective who is a permanent resident or a national of any African country.
  • If applying as a collective:
    • Members who are not African residents or nationals may participate, provided that at least one member is a resident or citizen of an African country and is actively involved in the residency.

  • A short CV
  • A portfolio
  • Sketches, images, or videos illustrating the proposal
