The Standard Chartered Women in Technology Kenya Accelerator is Africa’s leading program for female-founded startups. It aligns with the global call for diversity in technology and entrepreneurship, providing opportunities for women to develop entrepreneurial and leadership excellence.

This initiative is a collaboration between Standard Chartered, Village Capital, and @iBizAfrica, Strathmore University. The program seeks to recruit the best entrepreneurial minds and women-led startups as key drivers of innovation in business.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Women-led founders aged between 18-35 years.
  2. Must be headquartered and operating in Kenya.
  3. Legally registered, for-profit startup with 1–10 employees.
  4. Must possess a Tax Compliance Certificate.
  5. Revenue-generating business with an annual revenue between KES 500,000 – 1,000,000.
  6. At least one woman founder and one full-time founder must be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
  7. The business must be tech-based or tech-enabled.
  8. Business models must focus on inclusivity and address specific social, economic, or environmental issues aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in any sector.
  9. Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are encouraged to apply.
