The RUFORUM/Mastercard Foundation TAGDev 2.0 Scholarships are implemented by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. This scholarship is open to both female and male applicants, with a strong emphasis on encouraging applications from females, refugees, internally displaced persons, and persons with disabilities.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be nationals of African countries.
  • Be economically disadvantaged, from marginalized communities, and/or coming from conflict and post-conflict areas in Uganda.
  • Be less than 30 years old for undergraduate studies and less than 35 years old for master's studies at the time of application.
  • Meet admission criteria for a programme at Gulu University.
  • Demonstrate interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Show commitment to working in agriculture and agricultural value chains.
  • Have a strong commitment to community transformation.
  • Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
