📖 About National Tsing Hua University Summer Program

The Summer Research Program (SRP) takes place during summer at the College of Engineering in National Tsing Hua University. This program welcomes university students (who have completed at least two years of university studies) from around the world to participate in one of six disciplines. Participants will conduct a two-month research project alongside local and international students under the guidance of a faculty advisor.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world (Asia, America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania).
  • Applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies (including students in their third or fourth year).
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a university listed in the Reference List by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan).
  • Participants must choose one of the six disciplines offered in the program and actively contribute to research projects under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
  • The research program lasts two months.

📝 Application Date and Process

Steps to Apply:

  1. Check Eligibility
    Confirm that you are a bona fide student with completion of at least two years of university studies (undergraduate students in their 3rd/4th year or graduate students) from a university listed in the Reference List by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan).

  2. Find or Reach Out to Potential Host Professors
    Visit the websites of departments/institutes and make contact with potential host professors to ensure successful student-advisor matching.

  3. Prepare Required Documents

    • Mandatory Documents:
      • Program Application Form (DOCX, PDF)
      • Statement of Purpose/Study Plan
      • Resume/CV
      • Official Transcript of Academic Records (in English, including courses, grades, credits, and grading system)
      • Photocopy of Student ID Cards (front & back, clear and in color)
      • Proof of Valid Student Status (official documents showing you are a bona fide student during the application and program period)
      • Proof of Internship Plan (if required by your program or graduation requirements)
      • Photocopy of Passport Photo-page (clear and in color)
    • Optional Documents:
      • Supporting Materials (e.g., Letter of Recommendation, Proof of English/Language Proficiency, Certificates of Academic Performance)
  4. Submit Online Application

    Results are scheduled to be announced in late March.

  6. Confirm Attendance
    Reply with your willingness to attend upon receiving the notice of acceptance.
