Opportunity Overview

🌟 About Mondriaan Fund - The AIT

The Arts Initiative Tokyo (AIT) is a small-scale initiative launched in 2001 by six Japanese curators. It aims to create a platform for learning, dialogue, and open thought for anyone interested in contemporary art.

Key activities include:

  • Organizing exhibitions and publications.
  • Hosting lectures on modern art.
  • Offering courses on contemporary art.

Additionally, the AIT provides international artists, art observers, and critics the opportunity to work as artist-in-residence in Tokyo. Residents are introduced to the Tokyo art world and receive supervision and support for their activities. Post-residency, AIT often maintains close collaboration with the artists.
