📖 About MGG Academy
The MGG Academy is an international training and dialogue programme designed for early- to mid-career professionals who are shaping the future of global cooperation and sustainability. It brings together experts and practitioners from:
- Governmental institutions
- Think tanks and research organisations
- Civil society
- Private sector
Participants come from Brazil, China, the European Union, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and South Africa. The academy combines academic learning, leadership development, and action-oriented collaboration in a diverse and international learning environment.

Participants of the MGG Academy will receive the following benefits:
- Free participation in all components of the programme
- Lodging during all stages of the programme
- Monthly allowance to cover local living costs (€2200 for the MGG Academy 2026, paid in three instalments)
- Health, accident, and personal liability insurances
- Monthly ticket for local public transport
- Coverage of MGG Academy-related travel costs in Germany and Europe
Note:
- The support does not cover costs for families or relatives, either for visits to Germany or at home.
- Travel costs to Germany are not provided.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the MGG Academy, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a national or permanent resident of one of the participating countries (Brazil, China, EU, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa)
- Work on key issues of global governance and/or sustainable development
- Hold a university degree (minimum Bachelor)
- Have 3 to 15 years of professional experience in a field relevant to global cooperation and/or sustainable development
- Have a good command of the English language, with the ability to actively participate in group discussions and engage with the modules
- Obtain written support from their employer (required as part of the application)
- Be ready to participate in an intensive, full-time programme (8 hours per day, 40 weekly working hours)
- Be sensitive to other cultures, open to teamwork, and adaptable to diverse working methods
- Be willing to reflect on shared and individual experiences, attitudes, and competencies

- Copy of diplomas or certificates (in English or English translation) with the highest professional qualification and/or university degree.

- Proof of English language skills.
