📖 About Maastricht University Holland-High Potential Scholarship

The Maastricht University Holland-High Potential Scholarship program consists of two components:

• High Potential Scholarship: Funded by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund.
• NL Scholarship: Financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science in collaboration with Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences.

This scholarship is aimed at international students from outside the EU/EEA who wish to pursue a full degree program in the Netherlands.

Note: Scholarship amounts are subject to change for the academic year 2026–2027.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA, Surinam, or Switzerland.
• Meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and authorization to reside in the Netherlands.
• Must not possess dual citizenship with an EU/EEA nation.
• For the academic year 2026–2027, applicants must have applied for admission to a full-time Master's program at Maastricht University.
• Be eligible for admission to a participating UM Master's degree program to which they have applied.
• Must have never participated in any higher education program in the Netherlands.
• Applicants participating in Holland exchange programs are also eligible to apply.
• Age: Not above 35 years on September 1, 2026.
• Must have a strong academic background.
