International Children’s Peace Prize 2026
The International Children’s Peace Prize 2026, organized by KidsRights, is an annual award celebrating young changemakers (ages 12–18) who fight for children’s rights worldwide. First launched in 2005, the prize is presented each year by a Nobel Peace Laureate.
🏆 Benefits of the International Children’s Peace Prize
The winner of the International Children’s Peace Prize will receive:
- The Nkosi statuette, presented during a globally celebrated and broadcasted ceremony.
- The Desmond Tutu Study and Care Fund, contributing to the winner’s education.
- The International Children’s Peace Prize Project Fund:
- €50,000 for the winner’s project.
- €25,000 invested by KidsRights in projects of young changemakers related to the winner’s theme.
- A global platform to amplify the winner’s message and increase the impact of their changemaking efforts.
âś… Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the International Children’s Peace Prize, the nominee must:
- Be a child above 12 years and under 18 years of age, from anywhere in the world.
- Have a clear history of fighting for the rights of children.
- Have achieved concrete positive results for children’s rights locally, nationally, or globally.
- Agree to be nominated for the prize.
- Be an individual or part of a group of children (maximum of five members). Organizations cannot be nominated.
