✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IJURR Writing-Up Grants, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a PhD student in urban or regional studies.
  • Hold nationality from a low- or middle-income country (as classified by the World Bank).
  • Priority will be given to applicants who completed prior degrees in low- or middle-income countries.
  • Must have completed fieldwork and begun dissertation writing.
  • Plan to submit their dissertation ideally within 6 months of the award (from April 2026).
  • Not eligible if previously awarded an IJURR studentship.

📅 Application Date and Process

Required Documents:

  1. Completed application form.
  2. Two academic references.
  3. Evidence of registration in a suitable PhD program.

Important Notes:

  • Late applications will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • Due to the high volume of applications, individual acknowledgments will not be provided.
  • Successful applicants will be informed by the end of April 2025.
