✅ Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the HFG Foundation Emerging Scholars program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be Ph.D. candidates entering the dissertation stage of graduate study.
- Typically, applicants should have completed fieldwork or other research and begun writing (or plan to begin writing) at the start of the award period.
- Applicants should be confident that their dissertation will be completed within the award year. If analysis and writing are not sufficiently advanced, applications should not be submitted.
- In experimental fields, where research and writing can be completed within the same year, applications are also encouraged.
