✅ RWJF Health Equity Research Funding Opportunity Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Community Partnership: Demonstrate an existing, authentic, and accountable community partnership of at least two years (more time preferred). One of the co-principal investigators must represent or lead a community-based organization.
Location: Applicant organizations must be based in the United States or its territories.
Organization Type: Preference is given to public entities or nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Private foundations or Type III supporting organizations are not eligible. Additional documentation may be required.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Commitment: Applications are encouraged from project directors or team members with diverse lived experiences, including diversity related to race, ethnicity, gender, ability, sexual orientation, immigration, religion, and seniority.
Non-Discrimination: RWJF will not select, exclude, or prioritize applicants based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or other protected characteristics.
Eligibility of RWJF Grantees: Applicants who have been or are currently RWJF grantees are eligible to apply.
Lead Applicant: Only one organization may serve as the lead applicant.
