🌍 About the Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship
The Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship is delivered in partnership with the Hauwa Ojeifo Global Impact Fund for Women & Girls and One Young World. Led by trailblazing advocate for mental health and One Young World Ambassador Hauwa Ojeifo, the Impact Fund aims to strengthen systems of care for the health and wellbeing of 100 million women and girls by 2030.
🎁 Benefits of the Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship
Recipients of the scholarship will receive the following benefits:
- Full funding to participate in the One Young World Summit 2025, taking place in Munich, Germany, from November 3 - 6, 2025.
- Lifelong membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community.
- Access to the One Young World Action Accelerator and expert-led mentoring sessions to help turn inspiration into action.
- Opportunity to apply for grant funding of up to $25,000 USD.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Young leaders aged 18 - 30. Applications from individuals older than 30 will be considered if they demonstrate significant personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage. Applicants under 18 at the time of the summit are not eligible.
- Leadership Role: Must be leading or playing a leadership role in an organization/initiative with proven impact in a field aligned with at least one of the following themes:
- Mental Health (including neurodivergence and developmental differences)
- Domestic & Sexual Violence
- Disability Rights & the Rights of Older People
- Gynecological Health & Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights
- Maternal and Child Health
- Issues of the Girl Child (e.g., FGM, Child-Adolescent Pregnancy, Child Marriage)
- Non-Communicable Diseases
- Focus Areas: Preference will be given to projects that integrate psychosocial support and a disability-inclusive lens in their programming.
- Location: Applicants must live and make an impact in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East.
