Opportunity Overview

The GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders 2026–2027 is a fully-funded scholarship program offered by GSK in partnership with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). This scholarship aims to train and support future leaders in global health, with a focus on strengthening health systems and health-related research in sub-Saharan Africa.

💡 Benefits

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be nationals and residents of sub-Saharan Africa.
Intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc.
Demonstrate financial need (unable to fund the program without the scholarship).
Meet LSHTM’s minimum English language requirements by 15 June 2026.
Hold a first degree at first or upper second class equivalency.
Have an offer of admission for a London-based MSc programme at LSHTM for 2026–2027.
Preference will be given to those showing potential to make significant contributions to public health or research in Africa.

📅 Application Date and Process

Application Deadline: 16:00 (BST) on Wednesday, 04 March 2026

The application process involves two steps:

Step 1

Submit an application for 2026-27 for a London-based MSc programme of study, as per instructions under the "How to Apply" tab on the relevant programme of study page.

Step 2

After submitting your application to study, you will receive an automated email from the Scholarships team (scholarships@lshtm.ac.uk) with a link to the online scholarships application portal.
Use the temporary password provided in the email to log in for the first time (via e-vision) and update it.
Search for ‘GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders’ in the portal, complete all the required questions, and submit your application.
You will receive a confirmation email upon submission.
Note: The scholarships portal will not accept applications after the deadline.

Notification of Results

The Scholarships team will notify successful applicants during the week beginning 1 June 2026.
