Eligible organizations can receive funding for the following:
- Performance Grants: Up to $500
- Activity Grants: Up to $500
- Stall Grants: Up to $300
- Food Stall Grants: Up to $300
- Cultural Displays / Small Demonstrations: Up to $250
β Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply:
To be eligible for funding, multicultural organizations must:
- Be non-government and not-for-profit, and:
- Incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985, or
- An Australian Public Company Limited by Guarantee under the Corporations Act 2001, or
- A Statutory Authority established through an Act, or
- Registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission with a comparable legal status.
- Have a registered Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Provide satisfactory evidence that their core purpose is to deliver initiatives, services, or support for culturally and linguistically diverse communities in South Australia.
- Be South Australian-based.
Note: Unincorporated multicultural groups or those without an ABN may be sponsored by an eligible multicultural organization that applies on their behalf. There is no limit to the number of times an eligible organization may sponsor others.
Who Cannot Apply:
The following are ineligible for funding:
- Organizations with outstanding acquittal reports for previously awarded grants.
- Educational institutions or related representative bodies (e.g., schools, universities, for-profit childcare centers).
- Individuals or organizations applying on behalf of an individual.
- Commonwealth, state, or local government departments and agencies.
- Organizations engaged in religious or political advocacy not aligned with intercultural cohesion.
Applications That Will Not Be Accepted:
The following activities will not be supported:
- Activities primarily aimed at religious or political advocacy that do not advance an inclusive and cohesive Australian society.
- Political activities.
- Activities deemed unlawful or a risk to public safety.
- Activities that may damage the reputation of Government Parties.
