✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Future Conservationist Awards, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Projects must last between three to 12 months.
  • Projects must take place in an eligible country (refer to the detailed Application Guidelines for the list of eligible countries).
  • Project teams must include at least three people.
  • All team members must be early in their careers (i.e., have no more than five years of professional conservation experience).
  • All team members must be nationals of the country where the project will take place, although one team member can be a non-national if justified in the application.

📅 Application Date and Process

1. Review Guidelines & Eligibility

  • Read the detailed guidelines to understand project requirements, eligible countries, and team criteria.

2. Prepare Your Proposal

  • Design a conservation project focused on globally threatened species or those needing urgent action.
  • Ensure your team meets the criteria: at least three members, all early-career conservationists, and mostly nationals of the project country.

3. Use CLP Resources

  • Access CLP’s Help & Resources section for tips, templates, and support during the application process.

4. Submit Online

  • Complete and submit your application via the online portal by January 9, 2026.

5. Await Review & Feedback

  • Applications are reviewed by CLP experts. Selected teams will receive funding, training, and mentorship.
