The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) is proud to announce the 12th edition of the Francophonie Prize for Young Researchers. This prestigious award, held every two years, recognizes outstanding research in the following fields:

📖 About the Francophonie Prize for Young Researchers

The Francophonie Prize for Young Researchers aims to:

• Recognize the merit and quality of research conducted by four French-speaking researchers.
• Highlight the diversity of the French-speaking academic community, particularly in developing countries.
• Celebrate researchers who have achieved scientific recognition and made significant advances in their respective fields.

🗓️ Key Dates

• Date Published: May 31, 2025
• Application Deadline: June 27, 2025 (6 p.m. GMT)
• Award Ceremony: November 3–7, 2025, during the 9th General Assembly and the 5th World Week of Scientific Francophonie (SMFS) in Dakar, Senegal.

Winners of the Francophonie Prize for Young Researchers will receive:

• Official certification recognizing their achievements.
• A monetary prize of €5,000 (five thousand euros) each, to encourage continued research activities.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Francophonie Prize for Young Researchers, applicants must:

• Be 40 years old or younger on the closing date of the application (June 27, 2025).
• Hold a doctorate and demonstrate significant and innovative research activity.
• Be affiliated with AUF member institutions.
• Have their applications submitted by a manager (e.g., Rector, President, Director General) of a higher education or research institution that is a member of the AUF.
