📖 About Farmerline Product Design Fellow Program

Since 2013, Farmerline has been dedicated to improving the productivity and profitability of farmers globally. Starting with 800 farmers in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Farmerline provided mobile information services to enhance agricultural practices. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach and impact, offering technical support to other organizations as well.

The Farmerline Fellowship Program is tailored for early-career professionals and recent graduates who are passionate about agriculture, technology, and rural development. This program provides a hands-on opportunity to work alongside Farmerline's teams, gaining practical experience while contributing to impactful projects that improve the lives of farmers across Africa.

Farmerline fosters a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative culture. Fellows will have the chance to apply their creativity and problem-solving skills daily, thriving in an environment that values high standards, determination, and a sense of humor.

🛠 Responsibilities

As a Product Design Fellow, you will collaborate with the product and engineering teams to create innovative and engaging user experiences. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Product Managers to support the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Conducting customer interviews and gathering feedback to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Collaborating with designers, engineers, and data analysts to shape product features.
  • Assisting in defining product requirements and writing user stories.
  • Monitoring product performance metrics and supporting ongoing iterations.
  • Participating in product meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Documenting findings, decisions, and project progress for team visibility.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, applicants must:

  • Be a final-year student or recent graduate in any discipline (fields such as Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related areas are a plus).
  • Have a strong interest in product management and customer experience.
  • Possess an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Previous internship or experience in customer service, marketing, tech, or startups is a plus.
