EFB Core Programmatic Support Grants Program 2026

📖 About the Program

The EFB Core Programmatic Support Grants Program provides up to €20,000 in core support for a duration of 12 months. Unlike traditional project-based grants, these funds are designed to reinforce existing organizational functions. This allows Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to:

• Improve continuity
• Strengthen governance structures
• Sustain staff and operations that drive regional peacebuilding and social cohesion

🎁 Benefits

• Maximum Amount: Up to €20,000
• Duration: 12 months
• Disbursement:
  • 80% upon signing the contract
  • 20% after submission and approval of a progress report (financial and narrative)
• Reporting Requirements:
  • At the end of the grant period, a final narrative and financial report must be submitted.
  • Relevant reporting templates will be provided separately.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

You can apply if you meet the following requirements:

1. Non-Profit Organizations:
   • Must have a provable track record in bridging divides within and across communities.
   • Must submit three concrete examples from the last 18-24 months showcasing contributions to trust-building, dialogue, social cohesion, and/or cooperation across divides.
2. Legally Registered Organizations:
   • Must be based and operating in one of the eligible countries:
     • Albania
     • Bosnia and Herzegovina
     • Croatia
     • Kosovo
     • Montenegro
     • North Macedonia
     • Serbia
3. Unregistered Grassroots Initiatives:
   • Can apply through a coalition with an established, legally registered CSO that acts as the lead organization.
   • The lead organization must:
     • Submit the application
     • Provide a signed Memorandum of Understanding defining partner roles and financial flows

  • Send your application form and documents to cgp@balkanfund.org by 17:00 CET on December 19, 2025.
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • You will receive confirmation of your application within 72 hours of submission.
