Devconnect ARG is an Ethereum World’s Fair—a week of showcased apps, coworking, and community events across Buenos Aires, all working to bring Argentina on-chain.

đź“– About Devconnect ARG Scholars Program

The Devconnect ARG Scholars Program is part of Devconnect ARG 2025. This program will welcome 100 leaders who are expanding Ethereum's reach by connecting it to new communities, industries, and ideas. Scholars will co-learn and co-create, building bridges between Ethereum and other worlds.

The 2025 cohort will include five categories:

  1. Ethereum Community Organizers
  2. Legal & Public Sector Professionals
  3. Journalists
  4. Artists
  5. Developers & Other Builders of Any Kind

🏆 Benefits of Devconnect ARG Scholars Program

The program will begin in late August with online programming and conclude after Devconnect in late November. Scholars can expect the following benefits:

  1. Financial Support:
    Scholars will receive financial support based on individual needs, including accommodation, flight, visa application, per diem, and/or ticket to Devconnect.
    Note: Financial need does not influence acceptance. Those who do not require financial support are also eligible.

  2. Pre-Devconnect Community & Programming:
    Scholars will participate in online sessions to build relationships, receive mentorship, and enhance their skills and knowledge. These sessions will prepare them for their experience at Devconnect.

  3. Devconnect Week:
    Scholars will spend an exciting week at Devconnect in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

  4. Post-Devconnect:
    After the event, each Scholar will create a Learning Artifact—a free-format creation that expresses their learning and experience in the medium of their choice.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Devconnect Scholars Program, applicants must:

  1. Never have attended Devcon before.
  2. Never have attended Devconnect before.
  3. Be able and willing to dedicate approximately three hours per week over the course of three months to attend online sessions, complete assignments, and actively engage in learning, collaboration, and shared creation.

🌟 Categories of Scholars

1. Ethereum Community Organizers

This category is for individuals contributing to Ethereum or adjacent communities.

  • Who should apply:
    • Ethereum community leaders and core contributors.
    • Community leaders in adjacent fields such as cryptography, open source, and broader developer communities.

This category is designed to cultivate legal professionals aligned with Ethereum's values.

  • What to expect:
    • Community engagement, specialized legal sessions, and mentorship from the Ethereum Foundation’s legal team.
    • Participants will gain a deep understanding of Ethereum-related technologies and law.

3. Journalists

This category is for journalists curious to explore Ethereum’s values, applications, and community.

  • What to expect:
    • Scholars will learn from experts and gain hands-on experience using Ethereum.

4. Artists

The "Infinite Garden Artist Cohort" brings together artists to explore Ethereum’s culture, values, and philosophy.

  • What to expect:
    • Learning sessions, studio practice, critique, and play.
    • The cohort will culminate in an exhibition and the beginning of an ongoing alumni community.

5. Developers & Other Builders of Any Kind

This category is for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including developers, researchers, scientists, writers, educators, creatives, entrepreneurs, and non-profit leaders.

  • Who should apply:
    • Those exploring meaningful ideas, creating impact in their field, or working at the intersection of technology and society (e.g., financial inclusion, climate action, digital rights, public goods, decentralized science, governance, education, open source, or public health).
