The CERN Openlab Summer Student Programme 2026 is a paid nine-week summer programme at CERN in Geneva, designed for bachelor’s and master’s students in computer science–related fields.

This programme offers students the opportunity to work on advanced computing projects at CERN, gaining hands-on experience in a world-renowned research environment.

✅ CERN Openlab Summer Programme Requirements

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students (not PhD candidates).
• Must have completed at least 6 semesters (3 years) of full-time studies in computing-related fields.
• Cannot have worked at CERN for more than 3 months or participated in the programme before.
• Must have good knowledge of English.
• Must remain enrolled as a full-time student until the start of the programme.
• All nationalities are welcome to apply.
