For the BCLF Elizabeth Nunez Caribbean-American Writer's Prize:

  • Must be of Caribbean heritage or Caribbean descent.
  • Must be a resident of the United States or Canada.
  • Must be over the age of 18 years.
  • Self-published writers may apply.

For the BCLF Elizabeth Nunez Award for Writers in the Caribbean:

  • Open to unpublished and published writers who were born/raised and hold nationality in the Caribbean.
  • Writers currently on temporary assignment outside the Caribbean (except in the US and Canada) may apply.
  • Submitted stories must be original works of fiction.
  • Must be over the age of 18 years.
  • Writers of all publishing statuses may apply.
