The Black Founders Network (BFN) Black Career Advancement Program (BCAP) provides tailored employment readiness support to equip Black youth with the necessary skills and knowledge for various career pathways. It aims to address hiring gaps faced by Black-led companies in the ecosystem.

Key highlights of the program:

• Skill Development: Helping Black youth build their skills and secure tailored work placements.
• Support for Black-led Companies: Providing affordable talent through BCAP hiring grants.
• Impact Since 2022: Over 2000+ Black youth trained and 120+ work placements provided.
• Participants are supported through the BFN job board and BFN talent network.

• 12 Weeks of Hands-On Learning & Coaching: Practical, project-based training to prepare for real-world challenges. Includes tailored employment readiness support and training.
• Work Placement with Real Entrepreneurs & Businesses: Build your portfolio while solving real problems for companies.
• Mentorship from Industry Experts: Guidance from seasoned Black professionals who understand your journey.
• Placement Allowance: Access to paid work placements facilitated and funded by BFN.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To apply for BCAP 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Identify as Black or of African descent.
• Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Have basic computer literacy and a strong willingness to learn.
• Be able to commit 10–15 hours per week for the full 12 weeks.
• Be ready to show up, grow, and build something great.
