📖 About Black Entrepreneurship Program Ecosystem Fund

The Ecosystem Fund is part of Canada’s Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP). It supports Black-led not-for-profit organizations that provide business services such as:

• Mentorship
• Training
• Networking
• Outreach
• Capacity building

The goal is to strengthen the Black entrepreneurship ecosystem and contribute to a stronger Canadian economy.

🎁 Benefits of Black Entrepreneurship Program Ecosystem Fund

• Funding Amount: Between $125,000 and a maximum of $3 million per project in non-repayable contribution funding.

✅ Black Entrepreneurship Program Ecosystem Fund Requirements

Eligible Organizations:

1. Incorporated not-for-profit organizations in Canada or Ontario that operate in southern Ontario and primarily focus on supporting businesses and/or community economic development.
2. Black-led not-for-profit organizations that demonstrate the following criteria:
   • Leadership Composition: Minimum two-thirds of leadership positions (directors, founders, etc.) occupied by individuals who self-identify as Black.
   • Governance Structure: A governance structure (volunteer committee, advisory board, eldership circle, etc.) composed primarily of individuals who self-identify as Black (minimum two-thirds of positions).
   • Mandate and Activities: Focused on supporting members of Black communities.
3. Demonstrated ability to deliver business support services and reach the Black community.
