📖 About the Fellowship
The Banister Fletcher Global Fellowship invites scholars to place alternative forms and spaces of knowledge production at the heart of proposals. These proposals may build on research and creative practice developed in relation to cultures and histories of the built environment across the world, with a particular focus on the Paris-London framework.
The Fellowship will run for a period of up to 6 months (normally between January and June 2026) and can be based in Paris, London, or split between the two cities.

Analyzing the role of higher education institutions in fostering inter-state cooperation.

💰 Benefits
- The Fellow will receive a £50,000 per annum stipend.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field or demonstrate the impact of their work through creative practice and dissemination.
- Have a substantial research track record.
- Applications are welcomed from minority groups.
- Both salaried and non-salaried candidates are eligible to apply.
🎯 Responsibilities of the Fellow
As a Fellow, you will:
- Develop a program of original research while contributing to the research training environment of the supporting institutions.
- Design and convene a program consisting of lectures, workshops, training sessions, or other collaborative activities.
- Deliver programming in person, with a focus on experiential and in-person exchange.
- Use funds provided for programming activities to organize events such as workshops or lectures, potentially involving invited participants.

- CV (including names and contact details of two referees).
- A short summary/pitch outlining the key objectives for the Fellowship (300 words max).
- A project document (up to 4 pages, Times New Roman 12) explaining:
- Aims for the Fellowship period.
- Tentative organizational objectives for collaborative work.
- Programming possibilities for workshops or lectures.
- Potential invited participants and their roles.
- Relation between London and Paris events, ensuring benefit for a broad community of learners and researchers.
