📖 About AIT Master and Ph.D. Scholarships
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand provides generous academic scholarships for its Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. These scholarships are available for students applying to postgraduate programs offered at:
- School of Engineering and Technology (SET)
- School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD)
- School of Management (SOM)
As Asia’s leading international higher learning institute, AIT aims to increase the number of skilled international scientists, engineers, and managers to address future challenges in the Asian Economic Community region and beyond.

Financial Aid:
AIT Scholarships provide financial aid to subsidize part of the study cost. The scholarships may cover full or partial tuition fees. However, students are responsible for:
- Registration fees: 20,000 Baht per semester
- Living expenses: Approximately 11,500–15,000 Baht per month
Each school has a Selection Committee that determines the scholarship value for eligible applicants. The scholarship grant is finalized before enrollment and remains unchanged throughout the study period.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to all nationalities.
- Fulfill AIT’s English Proficiency Requirement:
- IELTS-Academic or AIT EET score of 5.0 or above for Master’s programs.
- IELTS-Academic or AIT EET score of 5.5 or above for Doctoral programs.
- Hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- For Ph.D. applicants:
- Must have a Master’s degree from a recognized university.
- A Cumulative GPA of 3.50 in their Master’s degree.
- A Cumulative GPA of 2.75 in their undergraduate program (from top universities).
🗓️ Application Date and Process
- Interested applicants must apply through the online application form.
- There is no separate application for scholarships. Once the online application is submitted, the university will automatically consider the applicant for all available scholarships.

- January 2026 Intake: 20 December 2025
- August 2025 Intake: 20 July 2025
