The Edeiken International Arts Foundation (EIAF), founded by Dr. Nicole Edeiken, announces the second-year Artist-in-Residence Program hosted at 7artscafe in Yokohama, Japan. This residency is exclusively designed for:
- Professional musicians
- Composers
- Sound artists
- Interdisciplinary creators whose primary medium is music or sound
💰 Benefits
The selected artist or ensemble will receive a $10,000 USD grant, payable in four installments. This grant will cover:
- Airfare
- Housing
- Living expenses
- Transportation
- Project materials
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Artistic Discipline: Music composition, instrumental or vocal performance, sound art, electronic/digital music, or interdisciplinary performance rooted in sound.
- Professional Experience: Minimum five years of continuous professional experience with verifiable artistic activity within the last 24 months.
- Nationality, Age & Residency: Open to musicians living or working outside Japan, aged 25 or older at the time of application.
- Group Applications: Ensembles of up to four members may apply with one unified application.

- 3–5 high-quality audio or video portfolio links from the past two years
- Project proposal (maximum 1,000 words)
